The Carlisle Theatre Kids Company is branch of our Theatre Company that deals with children's programming and education.  We strive to give children  of the greater Carlisle area opportunities for high-quality, affordable, family friendly entertainment and training.

This summer, On and Off Stage for Kids is pleased to present a series of family friendly classic movies that can be enjoyed by children and their parents who grew up with these great films!

Saturday, July 31 and August 7 at 1:00 P.M.- The Little Rascals

Saturday, August 14 and 21at 1:00 P.M. - The Muppet Movie

Prices are only $3 for kids and $5 for adults, so please take advantage of this great opportunity to see one of these family friendly movies on the big screen of the Carlisle Theatre!

Musical Theater Audition Workshop (Grades 8 to 12)

Dates:  Monday, August 2

Time:   8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Description:  Auditions create a lot of tension and stress for many performers.  In this one day workshop, you will learn how to select a song (what to look for, making ‘good’ song choices),  how to select and prepare a monologue, complete cold script readings, how to present yourself, as well as the basic dance moves you encounter at most auditions.

Children’s Theater Workshop (Grades 5 to 8)

DatesMonday, July 12 and Tuesday, July 13 OR Monday, August 16 and Tuesday, August 17

Time:   8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Description: Have an interest in theater?  Trying out for a play?  Just looking to have fun while learning something new? Then this workshop is for you! Learn the basics of theater through theater games and activities. Learn blocking, stage directions, diction, characteristics of a good stage voice, and harnessing energy. This class will provide a basic introduction to the many aspects of  theater such as who’s who in theater, the basics of acting, creating a character, and much, much more!

Registration Deadline:  Monday, June 28 for the July Workshop, Monday, August 2 for the August Workshop

Improvisational Comedy (Grades 9 to 12)

Date:  Wednesday, July 14 and Thursday, July 15

Time:   8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Description:  You’ve all seen or heard of the popular TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?.  In this class you’ll learn and play the games seen in the show, as well as many others used by improv troupes around the country.  Come to harness comedic timing and to stretch yourself as a performer.  Work with others to create hilarious scenes and situations and, most importantly, have fun!

Imagination Workshop (Grades K to 5) 

Dates:  Friday, July 16

Time:   8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Description:  Journey through the wacky, wild, and wondrous world of your imagination!  This workshop is designed for our youngest aspiring

performers with their needs in mind.  Laying the foundations for effective collaboration, young people play hard and play with purpose while being

introduced to and developing the skills of the creative theatre arts.  You never knew you could be this silly, have this much fun, and learn so much!

FEE:      $80 for a two (2) day workshop

             $40 for a one (1) day workshop

All workshops are full day, so participants must bring a bag lunch each day.  Space is limited.  Applicants will be on a first-come, first-serve basis until we reach the workshop maximum as decided by the instructor.  If a class is cancelled for any reason, you will be notified immediately of the cancellation and payment will be fully refunded.
