Audition Requirements Please be prepared to: - Sing 16 bars of an upbeat, Broadway song. Please do NOT sing a song from Joseph. You must sing with OUR provided accompaniment or with a tape or cd with NO vocals. NO a cappella auditions will be allowed. - You may be asked to sing scales by our accompanist. - Complete a dance audition, taught by the show choreographer (dress appropriately) - Be prepared to fill out a conflict sheet* at auditions (be as specific as possible about summer conflicts) *Make sure you read over the rehearsal and performance schedules before committing to the show*
Audition Dates/Times Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 6:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2010 at 6:00 PM Callbacks - Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 6:00 PM (if needed) *Additional audition times may be scheduled ONLY if you are unable to attend the scheduled auditions. Please contact the Artistic Director, Dustin C. LeBlanc, to schedule an audition in advance if this is the case.*
Rehearsals Sundays from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Saturdays from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, May 24, 2010. Tech week will be from Sunday, June 27 through Friday, July 2. No excuses will be accepted during tech week. Performances Saturday, July 3 at 7:00 PM Sunday, July 4 at 2:00 PM Friday, July 9 at 7:00 PM Saturday, July 10 at 7:00 PM Please make sure you can fully commit to the rehearsal and performance schedules before auditioning. We understand summer is a busy time and there are many vacations, but you must be willing to make this show a priority. Not all performers will be asked to attend all rehearsals.
Actors Needed Actors of ages 8 and up are welcome to audition, but please be aware the only roles for young performers are the Children Chorus. Experienced or first time performers who enjoy acting, singing, and dancing are invited to audition. Many roles are available to suit the talents of all of our performers.
